Hi Mom and Dad.

It's me, your Daughter.

There are still several months
before we'll meet face to face,
but I wanted to take this time to
send a little note of Greeting.
Having a Child is
a Beautiful Experience.
It's an exciting thing to see a Unique Human Life develop.

Watching me Learn and Grow is sure to be a special joy for you both.

Think about how exciting it will be to see me open my newborn eyes and look at you for the first time, or how you'll feel when my tiny little hands first grasp your index finger.
Don't think about
Colic, Fifth's Disease,
Whooping Cough,
Chicken Pox,
or Measles.
Think about my First Steps,

or wonder what my First Words
will be.

Don't think about Scarlet Fever, Mumps, Influenza
(it hits hard in infants), Pneumonia, Meningitis, and SIDS;

or worry over all the Staph, Botulism, Listeria, Salmonella, Legionella, E-Coli, and a Thousand other germs and bacteria which
I'll one day be introduced to.

West Nile Virus, Tuberculosis,
Mad Cow Disease, SARS, Smallpox,
or all the various forms of Cancer I'll be susceptible to
are all things you probably should Not be thinking about.
So, Think about my first day of school, instead, and how
my young mind will develop.

Try not to think about Choking Hazards, Unsafe toys, Lead Paint, Asbestos, Mercury Poisoning, Fleas, Ticks, and Lice (Lyme Disease); Accidents, Injuries, Classmates with Guns, Internet Perverts, Kidnappers,
Child Molesters.

Drunk Drivers, Drunk Driving, Overdose, Suicide, Psychotic Boyfriends, STDs; Domestic Abuse, Rape, and other Violent Crime;
Cults, Serial Killers, Terrorists,
Random Acts of Violence,
Natural Disasters,
and the Fact that no matter
how hard you try,
you'll never be able to protect me
from All of these things
for All of my Life.
Remember that raising a child is one of the most Important, Rewarding, and Fulfilling things you can do in your Life.
Try not to Worry.
I'll see you in June.
