A web-based series of comic strips
exploring story under formal constraint.
The comics are designed and illustrated by me,
off of scripts from playwrite and comics author Alexander Danner.
Using the theories of linguist Neil Cohn as
a jumping off point, these (mostly)one page comic strips
all use some pre-defined formal structure as a constraint.
The challenge in design is to take
what is essentially a template, a rigid pattern of panels,
and make each comic strip unique and interesting.
